That is very interesting to hear this from you, Anita and Kristie. As far as I am concerned belighter is nothing but a con-artist ploy. It is so nice and sweet of Ann Marie to help us poor obese people connect to Mexico doctors and offer us around the clock lifetime support but at a nice profit for her and her company. I know MANY people who are very angry at the lack of correspondence and concern from belighter once they have had surgery. It was a big THANKS FOR NOTHING. It is not difficult for prospective patients to find the contact information for individual surgeons directly without paying belighter anything. Glad you all finally saw the light but it won't help put extra money spent back in the pockets of victims. Teresa

Very interesting..kind of concurs with all the posts on Bandsters and Mexican bandsters about Belighter. It has been said by a member over there that she did not have a business license in Las Vegas and it caught up with her which is why she is now in Arizona..something about misrepresentation who knows if it is true or not..Lots of unhapy people with Belighter though and that is very sad :cool:

Okay, digging around has proven fruitful. The gal I have been talking to is a patient facilitator who works directly for Dr. Kuri. She is not a referral person, such as what you all have described above. Whew! I will continue to research and just to clarify for anyone else reading and concerned...

Dr Kuri's website Beliteweight.com is not at all associated with the Belighter.com people discussed above, nor is he set up to do business similarly. If, by chance, I find out otherwise, you will be the first to know. Good luck with your pursuits regarding Belighter. I'm sorry you all have been so displeased. Let me start by appoligising to stacy directly. You deserved to have your phone calls returned, and I did return every message I ever received from you.

Secondly I am not going to go in to detail due to the fact that speaking ill of others has never proven to bring anything good. I will just say that only one member of my family besides myself worked for belighter, and she did not fire us, we left due to un beleivable circumstances with Ann Marie.

I would not beleive everything you hear, if you read through the bandster archives you will find a long history of complaints surrounding belighter, before I even was employed with belighter.

I did not redirect money, I didnt even have access to ann maries account or deposit information. I honestly feel sad that Ann Marie has been calling patients and making false statements. In the past week I have received emails from six people who i assisted in coordinating their surgeries, explaining that Ann Marie had called them and rambled on and on about me. Each one of them were upset with her, and she did nothing but make them not want anything to do with her or belighter.

I honestly truly care about each person I worked with. The biggest mistake I made was ever being associated with belighter.

I appoligise to anyone I have offended. I hope you truly know I would never intentionally cause problems.

I do know that words mean nothing, and actions speak the truth, so I am not going to spend more time on this topic as I need to put the horrible experiance with belighter behind me and move forward to positive things in my life.

Thank you for making me aware. I only wish I had never ever worked with belighter.

Let me respond directly to you....NO you did not return calls to me, as a matter of fact I did not hear from you once you had my $1200 fee till one week after my surgery!

I went through my entire surgery experience with out YOU or anyone else from belighter even bothering to call to see if I was dead or alive!!! I did try several times after I returned to Florida (2 days after my surgery) to call you with very important questions and needing help and I all got was your voice mail!! I finally reached you the next Tuesday (A WEEK AFTER MY SURGERY). Some follow up care! The few times I called you after that you were always brief and rushed. You did actually call me once or twice when you needed something, like info on you and your children coming to Orlando to stay at the resort I manage. Some of the staff at belighter did try to assist me in your absence, which was often. I dont know who is more full of it, you or Ann Marie! Could be a tie. And, Im still waiting on thoses medical records and copies of my bills you promised.

Hello all...

I am new here and have been researching Belighter. Not to use them for my surgery, which I am one day out, but to research the owners wh have been threatening me. I know some of the people some of you have been talking about and before I would say they were die hard fans, I would check restraining orders and pendng law suits again Belighter. Some of the "die hards" were trying to get out without being threatened, having family threatened, or quietly.

If your going to file suit, do it soon before the ship sinks. if you used them, go to the surgeon for aftercare. My coordinators have me all set up for aftercare and did so before surgery.

I have posted many times on bandsters and mexicanbandsters, check the posts. I just want everyone to know to act quick if they are going to act.

Teresa, the post you referred to was sent to bandsters and mexicanbandsters. Anita is a nice, honest person. Just didn't work well with Belighters ethics. i spoke to her when she was with Belighter and when she left heard horrible things from AnnMarie about her. I have talked to her since and her heart is in the right place. She might be able to help you. I think she knows a lot of information.

I feel that it is about time that I respond to all the posting regarding Belighter lately.

The most unfortunate thing is that I cannot post this to any of the Yahoo support boards where most of the bad information is being said because I am considered a medical personal and they will not allow me to post there. Which is so totally biased anyways because several other Doctor’s patient coordinators post there daily and they are not considered medical personnel. go figure?

I am sure that there are some of our clients here that were not happy with the service that Belighter may have provided to them as is with any Doctor’s office as well and for this Belighter does extend our apologies and we would like the opportunity to try to resolve any matters with anyone out there that used our service and needs help at this time.

I had surgery in May, I tried and tried to get someone to answer me in regards to my

records. No one not even the office would contact me. Neither did ANN MARIE who was so caring and who I spoke to on many occassions. UNTILL I HAD MY SURGERY AND SOMEONE HAD MY MONEY> Then I wasn't important any more. IS THAT YOU??
