Anyone here lost over 100lbs in 6-9 months?

Recommended Posts

Is it really possible to lose that much? I guess if you're 400+ but for someone who is only 320 and want to lose 130-140 before my next birthday!

If anyone has high stats like that please share!?

Also any tips or secrets to help motivate the Weight loss?

Tnx

Hi, it is posible I lost 93 pounds st my 6 month mark got to 100 later that month today is my 1 year anniversary and I’ve lost a total of 140 pounds I’m 5’11 starting weight was 308.

i went to the gym 6 times a week, follow my nutritionist plan to the letter practice jujutsu 3 times a week and walked my dog

it is possible just stay focus on your goal and don’t cheat Keep going to the gym and eat healthy food and no more than the portion your DR recommends

i hit the 100 pound mark at 6 months. It can happen.

the more you have to lose the more you can drop in the first months.

no matter if it takes you 6-9 or 18-24 months the only thing that will count is can you maintain the new life you are building in all the years ahead. this is a marathon not a sprint. Think lifetime

So my highest weight was 311 and by my 6 months I was 210. So yes totally possible. I'm also 5'3" so very short over here. I'm hoping to be down to 150-130 by my 1 year

I'm close to hitting that 100lb lost mark. I lost 15 pounds in my 6 months prep, 15 pounds during my 2 week preop liquid diet and the rest in the last 7 months since my surgery. So it is possible but not guaranteed - everyone is different.

Yes, it's definitely possible. I did start out a lot higher than you did, but I still say it's possible. I will warn against setting timed weight loss goals though. I did that in the past, and it wasn't mentally healthy for me. Maybe you'll be okay with it, but I found myself losing weight but not being happy with the loss because I didn't hit X amount of pounds lost by X date. Now, I just Celebrate every pound lost, and it's been a much more enjoyable experience for me.

Yes! I am 5 months out and 109lbs down. The pre-op really helped jump start my weight-loss. I lost a good 24 pounds right before surgery and got used to having only liquids before I had to do the real thing. Anything is possible, but all of our bodies are different. Stay positive and focused and you'll do great! I even take selfies now and am obnoxious about it (LOL) because it's exciting to get all that weight off!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
