Liquid diet started today

Recommended Posts

Today started my 7 days of the liquid diet. I'm not really hungry but my head says I want to eat. So I think the hard part for me might be fighting with my head and not my stomach. I have always given to that little voice in my head. I have to stay strong! I WILL stay strong! I want and need this to bad to screw it up this close to the goal. Surgery is within my reach. Countdown begins now.

Just internally (or externally if no one is around or you don't care if people think you are crazy) tell that voice that it's wrong, that you know you aren't hungry or need any nutrition and that you won't listen to it. It takes some time but reconditioning does work, just gotta keep reinforcing the changes mentally. It does get easier.

7 days of liquid diet is nothing. I wish I had 7-days, but I had 14 - days and survived. Just spread out your shakes and use the time between to sip sip sip your Water. You've got this.

If you can, hide anything that is bad, out of sight, out of mind. Remember you've got this and a whole web full of supporters

OMG 14 days wow congrats! I have to many people to feed to be able to hide it. I'm trying to get them to learn to eat better. 1 hour at a time and trying to stay busy seems to be working. Doesn't help any that the house smells like roast right now....lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
