I think it depends on the individuals genetic make up or health conditions.
The diet you list is great for my uterine fibroids, but bad for my hypothyroidism. Keto was great for my thyroid, bad for my fibroids. The only thing I know is when I eat gluten and carbs my body smells and I'm sluggish, so I HAVE to keep my total carbs below 30 / 20 net. Sugar below 15 for day, try to keep it at 10.

I have done a lot of research on diets (as most obese ppl have, I suspect) and what I find is, from Keto to Vegan to Paleo to Weight Watchers they all have something in common:

1) avoid sugar

2) avoid refined grains and other highly processed carbs

3) avoid processed food and fake food even if it has no carbs (hot dogs, diet soda, etc)

4) eat whole food as close to nature as possible

5) eat your veggies!

Beyond that there is a ton of variations and different things work for different people

I like how most diets say if you use their method along with lower calorie consumption and exercise, you will loose weight. HAHA!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
