Health expert panel ranks diets

https://health.usnews.com/wellness/food/slideshows/best-diets-overall

Interestingly...most of the highest ranked diets are:

1. High in complex carbs like whole grains, legumes and brown rice

2. Low in refined carbs

3. Have lots of fruit and veggies

4. Emphasize plant based proteins

5. Suggest smaller quantities of animal proteins

6. Emphasize healthier plant based fats

I have done a lot of research on diets (as most obese ppl have, I suspect) and what I find is, from Keto to Vegan to Paleo to Weight Watchers they all have something in common: 1) avoid sugar

I think it depends on the individuals genetic make up or health conditions.
The diet you list is great for my uterine fibroids, but bad for my hypothyroidism. Keto was great for my thyroid, bad for my fibroids. The only thing I know is when I eat gluten and carbs my body smells and I'm sluggish, so I HAVE to keep my total carbs below 30 / 20 net. Sugar below 15 for day, try to keep it at 10.

I have done a lot of research on diets (as most obese ppl have, I suspect) and what I find is, from Keto to Vegan to Paleo to Weight Watchers they all have something in common:

1) avoid sugar

2) avoid refined grains and other highly processed carbs

3) avoid processed food and fake food even if it has no carbs (hot dogs, diet soda, etc)

4) eat whole food as close to nature as possible

5) eat your veggies!

Beyond that there is a ton of variations and different things work for different people
