But would you come if I could lasso the other 2? Besides Love Field has such a romantic sound like I am going to HappyTown or Pleasantville.

Sure, for me it's only a 40-minute drive! Fluffy's the one who'd have to make a major effort. And you, of course!

If you did get together, I'd come and be your videographer! Great excuse to see one of my favorite states!

I am glad that everyone has future plans! I read some of them and thought "Yes! I want to do that as well." My ultimate would be to learn how to properly surf in the ocean and be successful at it. Maybe somewhere like Hawaii or Australia. I would worry about sharks though. And the hubby wants me to go see "The Meg."

Skydiving, ride roller coasters. When we go to Wisconsin Dells next month, I’ll be able to zipline. Kayaking on the Chicago River. When we fly to England next year, I’ll be able to sit in the middle seat next to my wife comfortably and pass our son back and forth. When we go to the beach next summer, I won’t need an enormous reinforced beach chair.

I haven’t told anyone but being overweight has prevented me from planning a wedding or having children. Now that I’ve had the surgery once i get to my goal weight I want to do both of those things! I also want to go on outdoor adventures and not worry about being out of breath or being in pain

Oh there are so many! Roller coasters or amusement parks right now I'm scared to step foot into one due to getting to embarrassed a couple years ago. Sky diving w/ my wife. She wants to go so bad and unfort doesn't understand that I'm simply not able to do because of my weight. Hiking. Being able to physically keep up w/ my family members at outings!

Gah. The list could go on.

I have so many. I am only 22 and I haven't ever lived. So here are some of mine.

1. Go out on a boat and scuba dive on the reef, not being afraid of not being able to get back in.

2 . WHITE Water RAFTING (This is one my big life dreams)

3. Ride on an airplane and feel comfortable.

4. Wear a swim suit and feel confident.

5. Go out to a club and actually dance and not be embarrassed.

6. Ride a roller coaster.

7. Fall in love.

8. Everything else in life. I am so ready to feel free.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
