When did you start losing hair?

Recommended Posts

Im six months out today. Mine started at about 4 months. I clean my brush out everyday. I am going to get a lob on Friday so my long hair doesnt start to look stringy. Hopefully it will stop soon and i can start letting it grow out again.

I’m finding that it started about 3.5 months after surgery. I was sleeved on April 18, 2018, luckily I have thick hair but it is disturbing to me.

I also think it falls into our genetic make up.

I was losing significant hair up until I started my Biotin regimen, it came from a combination of my thyroids and uterine fibroids then add the wrong nutrition value and you're a recipe for disaster.

Fibroids can cause Hair loss? ?????!!!!

Mine really seemed to be between m4 and m5. I did chop it all short though, so maybe it's still tailing off.

Mine started about three months after. I worried so much especially when it was falling out. Don’t stress, it will fall out and thin but then starts to shoot right back. Take your Vitamins, eat Protein, don’t brush your hair when it’s wet and take liquid silica and liquid Biotin starting now and just keep taking it even when your hair stops falling out. Don’t worry ❤️

collagen is a good supplement, too. I’m trying to head off the Hair loss possibility by taking 10,000 of Biotin, and using a collagen Protein powder! I’ll be sure to continue taking after I’ve had my surgery, plus maxing out on as much protein as I can. I hope not to lose any hair, but just in case I’m being proactive. I’m using Dose & Co vanilla collagen Protein Powder, ... but there are others out there. It can’t hurt.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
