Well I did make Soup from those lamb cutlets (mixed vegetables, cumin, rosemary, mixed herbs, barley). Trimmed off the cutlets to dice the meat & threw the bones in with the sautéing onion, celery & garlic. I had a bowl for dinner but had to pack up the rest to take to my mum’s this morning. She was taken to hospital last night for a few hours with a chest infection because she has limited lung capacity & is prone to pneumonia. At least I won’t have to cook for us for a few days while I’m keeping an eye on her.

PS I’ve decided this is more a potage than a Soup because it’s is so thick & chunky. No pxt cause it just looks sort of brown. 😁

Get well soon Mum!

Thanks @GreenTealael. She’s on the mend as she hasn’t stopped telling me what to do today & then asking if I’d done it yet! Mind you she coughed all night long so neither of us had any sleep. 🙄

Savoury mince. Made it for the patient (my mum) who ate two spoons & deemed it too oily. Hilarious. Lean heart mince & a quick spray of oil to sauté the onions. Her tastebuds are way off at the moment. I found it heart warmingly delicious. Lol!

todays brunch was leftovers from yesterday's brunch, ha!

ordered a smoked salmon benedict and shared one of the "benedicts" with the Kid and brought the other one home (i asked for another plate to put the extra one on before we dug in to keep it pretty lol).

anyway, wasn't sure how a smoked salmon eggs benny would hold up after 24 hours, but i ate what i ate today and im still alive and have no stomach issues (so far!)..so its all good (i think!)

435 calories for the before pic (including the tsp of pesto i put on the side)

ate all the egg, about 2/3 of the english muffin, and about 1/2 of everything else, looks like.

no one wanted the rest so its in the bin.

Did a whole bunch of errands today and by the time I got home I was starving! Starting at the avocado and going clockwise- sliced avocado, strawberries, blueberries, fontina, Roth blue cheese, espresso bellavitano, pizza Gouda, salame calabrese, prosciutto, coppa Italiana, salame Milano, snack mix and cinnamon toast Cookies and dry cured olives

The leftovers (including the plate) went into a bag for Breakfast in the morning. Calories adjusted to what I ate.

I think we are all eating the same stuff. I’ve had way more cherries this summer than ever before. And my BF just had smoked salmon.

A scratch made Belgian waffle! I made it with Greek yogurt and collagen powder.< br /> Anyone else taking collagen? How do you hide/incorporate it? I usually add it to a Chai latte or London fog.

I take that Spoiled Child collagen, it is a mango flavored liquid. I got tired of trying to mix powders! I put it in sugar free Fruit Drinks or tea but you have to dissolve the other drink powder first if you use one or the collagen will make it clump for some weird reason. So far I like it... But your waffle looked seriously delicious!

soft boiled egg on buttered toast topped with a green-onion-ginger-condiment i made.

317 calories, ate almost all of it. Leftover bread was tossed.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
