P.S. I ate the bacon at the table not in the closet. 😂

First Meal of the Day:

Grilled chicken + butter and Iceberg lettuces + red onion + goat cheese + homemade vinaigrette + homemade tzatziki

(the Sharpie is for size comparison, lol)

Before:

After: Having one of those days where I was all jazzed to sit down and enjoy my meal, and then after a few bites was all "meh". Will try again later...

Damn. I could scarf it all down. :( Have you ever eaten a whole salad that size? Sorry you're having a small tool day or a "Meh food" day.

Honestly no, not in one sitting at least. Though I often fix myself a salad this size thinking "Oooh yeaaaah, I could totally eat this!" Then....nope. I'll eat it all eventually....

Honestly i wouldn't be able to finish it either

I could almost never finish any salad made or bought especially if Protein is involved...

Breakfast this morning. My "Miracle Biscuit" (yes, it's a low carb analogue...I'm drivin' the bus to hell) with an egg white turkey sausage, spinach mushroom, Sriracha and cheese filling. I ate the whole thing of course. And here's how it turned out in MFP. 166 cals; 18g protein; 5g fat; 10g carbs; 4g fiber; 6g net carbs. MMMMmmmmMMMMMmmmm! (That all fit in a 1cup volume.)

There were no survivors...

Yum. Your miracle biscuit reminded me that I am finally allowing myself to make (and eat!) some low carb bread. I haven't had bread in over 7 months and am sorta looking forward to experimenting (and tasting!) some recipes I've gathered.... :)

Yes, I have for the most part, waited until I'm close to Goal #3. :) I still won't do this very often. Even though mine are very LC.

Here are the instructions from my old blog--this bariatric recipe is modified a little bit.

First Meal of the Day:

I had leftovers from last nights dinner I made for the fam: Grilled cabbage steaks topped with blue cheese, bacon & green onion. There were asparagus and soft boiled egg sides, but there were no leftovers of those this morning. (I didn't eat any myself last night because I was working on the leftovers of a salad all day)

The first picture is of the cabbage steaks and asparagus on the grill (because you can't really see the cabbage in the plated dishes)

The second picture is the original of the dish that Mr. and the Kid ate yesterday

The third pic (not as pretty) is what I portioned out for myself today, I added some leftover grilled chicken to the meal. Ate about 1/2 of it and then Mr. swooped by and ate the rest before I could take an after picture 🙄. (So the MFP data should really be cut in half, but I'm too lazy to fix it right now...)

YES. It was indeed yum. The cabbage is very filling though. I think I'm grilling ALL our vegetables this summer...😋

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
