Dear BariatricPal, forgive me for I have sinned... I had a bailey's martini today because I just felt I needed it as I have been so stressed lately with calls from my daughter's school about her behaivour (she has autism). It tasted good and it helped. So there. Not sorry.

5 weeks out from sleeve to RNY revision and I ate a mini chocolate chip muffin. I didn’t burst into flames or dump or have any side effects. Kind of wish I did. But that muffin tasted wonderful.

Froufrou,
My daughter deals with a 5 mental illness diagnosed daughter whose been hospitalized 7 times since she was 6 and is now almost 18.
She's a nurse at a adult autism center every day as well and it's not easy at all. She was trying to get through by drinking a couple of shots at night but the problem and anxiety is still there every day. She gave up the shots 4 weeks ago and looks and feels better herself.
You are your child's best advocate. Seeking help is not always easy and since I don't know where you are it's hard to steer you to help but your community should have a autism advisory board. Good luck with your journey and your child.

I hardly drink so I'm good - this was a one off. I have therapy for my 10yr old and have done since before 3yrs old... she has professional advocates and a whole team working around her. It's still just hard some days. But thank you for your words of encouragement - much appreciated xxx

My cheating ways can get me in trouble quickly.

I’m years out. It’s crazy that a few days/weekends in a row of indulging can bring weight gain on fast. Then its painfully sloooooow to come off. I’m maintaining a ten-pound weight gain up and down the scale. This is my cheating life after goal.

I weighed in at my lowest ever this morning, and then proceeded to eat all the sugar in the WORLD. There is none left. I ate it all.

The two events are not actually connected, I’ve been stocking up on sugar all week (but not eating it!) for weird stress-related reasons, but man. Today was not a proud day.

Currently drinking peppermint tea to try and wash it all out. Back to scary turmeric tonic tomorrow AM, which generally prevents me from wanting to eat anything for a good few hours.

💜 Congratulations 💜 & you missed some sugar so it's all good...

I keep buying the biggest watermelons i can find & eventually eating them all (with help 😀 of cource) to test if they will make me dump again or if i can still ride the fruit train without a tix for a while longer until I'm busted...

I confess that I'm on the last week of my pureed diet and I've struggled since day 4 after surgery. I was doing great before surgery and had few issues with pure liquid. I didn't know I was doing it wrong but I was eating some pureed food during the liquid diet post surgery (don't say I can have strained Soup and not inform me that broccoli cheddar soup is a no lol), I was eating applesauce too because I listened to the wrong nurse. Week 3 of pureed diet and I feel like I screw up every single day! I'm only eating 2 times a day because pureed foods aren't very satisfying and when I do eat I have more than 1/3 cup portion that I'm allowed. I strive to do better every day though!

I am 10 months post bypass and have passed my goal so I'm no longer trying to lose. That said, I still eat healthy most of the time. When I run through the drive through for my kids they both know they have to pay the "fry tax". They each give me 3 or 4 of their fries. They find it hilarious. Oh and I have a Hershey kiss after lunch a few times a week. I got down on myself about it once then thought about how I ate before surgery and got over it lol

10 months out - I HATE going out to eat or having to stop for fast food. I try my hardest not to do this mainly for bad decisions. I waste money, waste food, and dont always make the best choices. Being in the south, eating out seems to be the biggest social experience...

If you know where you are going, would it help to look at the menu online before and decide what the best choice is? Almost everywhere has a salad with chicken on top. I do get kind of BORED during long meals, but I eat too fast.

I do look at menus ahead of time..my problem is the waste of food/money. I eat maybe half, if that... Ive become so cheap! 😂

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
