I am 6 days post op and have not had a bowel movement. I am feeling pretty flush today like hot and cold sweats. Just wondering if anyone else has had these issues? Any recommendations?

Oh heck no to the oj or raisins, not at 6 days post-op!!!! Call your doctor's office, mine recommended colace, or Miralax, or suppositories if you are miserably backed up.

I don’t think I had one for over week. Take the Miralax

Absolutely don’t have raisins or oj

Smooth Move tea works - but cramps your stomach for about 15 min. It works though

Feel better

I had the same problem and felt nauseous because my digestion wasn’t working properly! Try reflexology it’s worked really well for me !

If you take the medicine and that doesn’t work, try prune juice.

Don't you worry at all. You're not taking much in and so there isn't much to put out. I didn't have my first BM until the other day and I was 10 days post-op. I was taking colace daily (stool softener). It did hurt a little but at the same time felt amazing to go. I had another BM 3 days later (today at 13 days post-op). Things will get moving again. My doctor had no concern about the delay.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
