This may be a little gross

Hi guys,
So I’m having a little problem, I’m nearly four weeks post op and the weight is coming off well. But I’m on the soft food stage and sometimes after meals when I burp I basically regurgitate most of my meal. I’m not eating too much so I’m not too sure what’s going on!

Sounds like you may be eating too fast and getting too much air in your stomach. I know you've been going slow, but go slooooow, like a sloth on valium slow!

A sloth on valium is that like my slug on depressants?

Yeah, evolutionary cousins!

And also you have a weak cardiac sphincter between your esophagus and stomach, did it get traumatized when they did your surgery? Were you a "Sleever"? The bougie could have done it or the EGD tube.

I am a Sleeve! Unsure if there was any damage. My surgeon told me that every went perfectly!

In my experience, there was nothing that made me swallow more air than concentrating on not swallowing more air!
