Not to worry! I gained 15 pounds in fluids, etc., and I thought I’d faint when I got home and got in the scale. But it will come off! And how! You’ll be smiling in no time! All the best! :D

@Shalainna @Kazzieloo thank you both so much for the encouragement! I’m trying to stay focused on getting my protein and liquids in. I’m hoping tomorrow or Friday I’ll be back at at least my preop weight and then work from there. I think I’m holding more gas than anything else
I am glad I stumbled upon this thread. I am a first time poster and seven days out from surgery. Does anyone have any advice on swallowing pills? I am really struggling with it. Thanks!

You may have to ask your doctor if some pills are okay for crushing or breaking. Usually you switch to liquids and if not the pills have to be small enough to swallow with small amounts of water. I wish I had more advice for you

You’re welcome! Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful

Bypass was on July 2... doing well but pretty uncomfortable was drinking to much to fast. So hopefully the adjustments will do the trick. Suffering from shoulder discomfort and headaches... but I am sure I will get through.

Hope u get to feeling better soon!

Finally home sweet home. Just weighed myself and yay gas weight (not), but not worried about it. Add into that the water weight from the IV. Gained 6 lbs, but sure it'll go down once I get rid of all this gas and water weight. Overall happy with everything.
I just got my surgery date this morning! It’s July 25, 2018!! I am so excited to get this done! Praying everything goes well. I have my pre op appointment with the Bariatric surgeon tomorrow! Then I’ll probably have to start the pre op diet! ???

The headaches were the worst for me. They told me it was hunger headache. Equivalent to caffeine headache. Basically nothing helped it. Took a couple days to get better.
