Love your KittyKat avatar, I am owned by 2 incredible feline ladies. The one who resembles your avatar most, is convinced I live with her only because I bring food in and pet nicely otherwise the house is hers not mine!😛&🐯x2

I've yet to try full on fried chicken, however I did just the other day have some lightly breaded chicken cutlets. I had two small pieces (measured at about 2.5oz) and had no problem with it. I even got a little daring and dunked it in some buffalo sauce... I've been seriously craving something spicy.

Anyone have reccs on airfryer brands?

Just check slickdeals.net and hunt for one to go on a GOOD sale and make sure it's the size and features you want.

Odds are they are all the same ****

If just tell your friend it’s not something you’ve made before and you don’t trust yourself to try it for the first time right now. Politely say no

I don't have a problem cooking foods I can't eat , the question was if it was in fact a food I could not eat. I did eat some, not a slippery slope because I doubt I will invest the energy and resources to make it again when I could just eat boiled eggs or Beans lol

You can bake it on a sheet rack instead of frying. Kind of like shake and bake it’ll be crunchy and about 100 calories less per serving

I make chicken wings in my air fryer, but I do not bread or coat them in anything except hot sauce... because that’s what belongs on wings.

I do not eat them every day or use oil to make them... but I honestly can’t taste the difference between these and regular pizza shop wings so they are probably not healthy.

But it’s been a super long time since I had proper wings from a pizza shop so maybe my memory is a bit fuzzy. Lol

Don't buy the Philips with the metal mesh basket. It's an absolute bugger to clean.

That’s the one we have! My only complaint is the basket is quite small. I was raving about air fryers to my brother and had to tell him I thought they’d be too much hassle for his family of six! Could you imagine how many batches it’d take to air dry dinner for that many people?

High fat foods don't make me dump, just foods that are high in sugar and/or carbs.

I really want this one! Which is ridiculous since I'm single and live alone. 🤣

I haven't had any since I taste tested many moons ago. But my dumping is random. No rhyme or reason

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
