Packing for hospital overnight

Ok. My surgery is on Thursday and and I’ve got the basic ideas like toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, loose pants. But what else would you guys recommend? Never had a hospital stay, so any advice is appreciated!

I haven’t had my WLS yet (11 more days) but I have had a few other surgeries where I have been blown up with co2. Sometimes the pain in shoulders (because the gas rises) has been worse then the surgery!

This is all so great!!! Thank you!! Does the gas x work? My nurse coordinator said it doesn’t do anything because all the gas will be from the co2 they put in your belly to see better during surgery. But if it was helpful for you guys then I’m heading to the drug store tomorrow!

My surgeon doesn’t allow gas x in the hospital, so just make sure you check with them prior to taking them. And btw, Amazon has the best prices for the strips (and should be delivered in time for your surgery!!)
