Just wanted to get an idea of who was in my area. More specificly the Hammond, New Orleans area.

Restmgr985 have you found any support groups in the are and if you have, have you been to any meetings?

How far out are you from banding? For me the process was a snap, and the band has given me a new lease on life. Down about 60-65 lbs, and doing all kinds of stuff I havent done in years. Good luck, and if you have any questions just let me know.

hey ive done the seminar.....had an appt on wed with a doc but recently switched docs.....my new appt date is not until jul 23.New doc is in Baton Rouge.....Dr Karl LeBlanc......so i guess im a while away from surgery date....ill let u know when i get a date.....i do have question about a pre op diet....did u have to go on one and if so for how long? i hear some docs do it and some dont.

I didnt have any preop diet, meetings or seminars to do. i just gave them all my medical history. I went to Monterrey Mexico to have my surgery done. I was banded by Dr Zapata on 10/10/07 I am down 80# right now . 60 more to go

I just had the day before surgery prep. None of this 6 month preop diet I keep reading about...
