I just wanted to say the care I received at woman's hospital in Baton Rouge LA was excellent. Everyone from beginning to end went above and beyond. Was an awesome caring experience.

I'm on day three post op and nausea is whipping me!! Any ideas on how long this normally lasts ? I think I could deal with pain better than this. Ugh

Helloooo everybody. Came home yesterday. Not n too much pain. But the nausea is kicking my butt. Can only sip very little. Will b so glad to feel normal again. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Greatly appreciated.

Such a mixture of feelings and nerves this morning. Surgery at 930 today. The day has finally arrived. Ready for it to be over and done. Hope everyone has a great day. See ya on the other side

way to go tap........i have to admit to all im having a really bad time......still on pureed .....and im sooooo hungry.......blood pressure is sooooo low i have to go to doc for med adjustment this week.....guess my body just doesnt know what the heck happened yet....lol

hey ready thx for the tip on the soybeans.......im am def goin to get some to try for later.....today is my one week check up even though it has been 9 days..lol.....i cant wait to get outta this house.......i am so not used to being home all day.....just ready to get out ......cant wait 2 c if the docs scale matches mine...lol.....at least ill be busy today and wont think about the munchies.......

hey tap thx for including me in the addiction group...lol......the ice cream battle i have been wining.....thank goodness......but i sure am missing having something salty to crunch on....last night i dreamed about crunching chips ......lol...wow how my dreams have changed since the band.....again i am sooooo glad to be included in the group!

hey crzytchr nice to hear that u survived gustav.....i was banded on 9/15 so even the hurricane couldnt stop me....lol.....ike passed and flooded streets where i live but still i was able to get out on mon ....thank goodness......who did your surgery.....?

what a wonderful thread this is...i just finished reading all of it.....and it has soooo brightened my day.......today is day 4 for me and i have to admit i am feelin a lil depressed ....but this has been so nice.....u guys keep it up .....by the way i too was an ice cream addict....lol

i agree this is a great thread. I saw a couple people mention that they had trouble with grits..... my doc says i can have oatmeal....which i just never had a taste for....but i could handle grits.....im wondering if anyone had good results with grits.....i know they would have to be prepared very thin....

i had my surgery on the 15 and i too do not feel normal yet! still very very sore! gas pains in shoulder have been sooooo bad ...but is nice to know it will get better......

mushy flakes sounds awesome....lol.....

if i have corn flakes for breakfast do i have to let them get very very soggy in the milk before i eat them.....i know this may seem like a silly question.....but i am still on clear liquids and i guess i am planning ahead.....for something different...lol
