Fidelis Medicaid NY

My first visit with Dr.Graber was Jan 24th, I was scheduled for 2 weigh ins, (feb+March) i am 21, I weigh 236 lbs, with PCOS, within the last year I’ve gained 70 lbs.. I have surgery scheduled for May 11th.. I just received all my appointments in the mail. I’m nervous has anyone not had to do the 6 months?? And still got approved? I’m wondering if it’s because it’s on record that I’ve been trying to lose weight the last year. My endocrinologist referred me to graber.

I did not use this surgeon however I was told that there is no mandatory waiting period with this insurance, it will depend on how fast you move through all the preop appts and how quickly the surgeon submits a claim for approval.

I had VSG in about 5 months, it could have been quicker but I was away for about 2.5 months

Oh okay, unfortunately they scheduled my appointments for me, so I will be waiting until May lol. How are you doing now? Any complications? Are you losing?

Zero complications (my surgeons were amazing ,talented and really skilled )
Losing slowly and stalling often but no lose skin at -50 lbs so I'll take it
