I had my sleep study last month and had to do it at the hospital. It was terrible, but I am glad its over. I have BCBS

Just did my test at the Sleep Center last night. I took 2 Ibuprofen PM. I was sleeping pretty good from 10 pm until 1:30 am. They woke me and put CPAP mask on me. I didn’t sleep worth a darn after that. Waiting for final results.

I have Aetna and they approved my surgery before I even scheduled a sleep study. It was the surgeon that wanted it and I have to bring my CPAP to surgery. Turns out I did have apnea and this machine has resolved my morning headaches and need for a nap!

I’ve been using my CPAP for several years now. For a few years I hated it and only wore it part of the time. Then I started paying more attention to the medical studies tying all kinds of illnesses to unresolved sleep apnea. Now I wear it religiously and my energy level is so much better. Like you said, fewer headaches, no daytime drowsiness, and no soaked sheets from night sweats. I’m three days post-op and I’m told that once my weight is off, there’s a good chance my sleep apnea will be resolved too.

I just got my machine. I have a bi pap machine. I had to have two sleep apnea tests in the hospital overnight twice. I didn't mind it at all. I can't use my machine yet as I have had a terrible cough and flu for the last 3 weeks.
