I'm traveling on March 8th to Tijuana to have the gastric sleeve done by DR. Illan. I'm traveling alone so I was trying to see if there was anyone else traveling on that day as well.

Reading...and reading...and reading some more...I agree. I am sure, just like a lot of people on this site, I have struggled with my weight my entire life. I am excited about this tool and am just looking forward to being at a “reasonable” weight that I can manage. Losing 50 pounds and then still having another 70 pounds to still lose has really taken its toll on me over the years. I am glad that this site is available. Please feel free to keep in touch!

I've struggled too, and the amazing thing is... I just got my results back from 23andme.... and it tells me genetically, I'm supposed to be small....hmmm...maybe after my surgery, my genes (and my brain) will get it right!!

By going to Mexico, do you feel you're missing out on the nutrition and counselling information you would have gotten had you gone through insurance? I do, but I'm finding so much here and on the various facebook pages, but I still have questions...

Not really. I actually went through the seminar and the nutritional aspect because I was going to just pay out of pocket here in the states. I think that I am just worried about being so far away from home and having surgery.

I watched this guy, all of his video's ... if you go to You Tube and hear what he has said...about the Mexico experience...
