Hey all, what cool gifts did you get for Christmas to help with your post-surgery life?

I got a 30 oz Yeti, blue tooth ear buds, and a blue tooth scale. I also got some cashola -- I think I'll buy Tespo with it.

Are you having bariatric surgery or a baby? :D:P

Those small serving freezer containers are actually a really good idea!

I like that Ninja -- the one with the food processor and spiralizer?

I'm almost through my second 30 oz Water. Now, I consider myself to be a daily water drinker, but today has been a real eye opener -- 64 ounces requires concerted effort (and I can gulp as I am 2.5 months pre-surgery)!!!

Ok, I’ve been thinking about getting a Tesco, but the monthly Vitamin disks are $40 each! Do you think it’s worth it? Let me know, please. I’m very interested.

I sent my surgeon's dietitian an email to see if the composition of the Vitamins in the Tespo packs is OK with them -- it is markedly different than their one approved liquid Vitamin (nutrametrix).

I just ordered the Tespo with the bariatric women's formula. I should get it in early January. I got mine for 50% off at gettespo.com.

Sent from my SM-G920T using BariatricPal mobile app

I did not get any bariatric specific items, I got quite a few last year ahead of my surgery, but my Dad gave me cash so I could pick out the fitbit I want so I will be doing that.

I got a lot of clothing and it's nice because I desperately need it, I'm now moving into a small/medium and it's so cold here sweaters were a big hit for me!!

I got a thumbs down on Tespo Vitamins for now -- not enough information out there yet. I'll have to go old school and dump a capful of liquid into a cup with 2 oz. Water -- so old school, the horrors!! LOL

@Apple203 I have been using chewable Multivitamins from Bariatric Advantage. My dietician told me that right after my surgery to grind them and sprinkle it on my applesauce (worked great!) and now I cut them in half and eat them that way. I eat 2 tablets daily and they taste pretty good.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
