Waking up with INCREDIBLY dry mouth after surgery

Had a sleeve 5 weeks ago, since then every night I wake up with an incredibly dry mouth/tongue. So bad to the point that it's really uncomfortable and I think is disrupting my sleep. I'm talking my tongue is bone dry and almost scaly/crusty to the touch when I get up.

Is this relatively common, anyone have any fricken idea what it could be?

They also have glycerine and lemon swabs that really work well for the hospital stay.

Yeah it took me like a week or two before the issues started, so I think the ketosis angle could be part of it
