Best single app for everything?

Recommended Posts

Hey y’all,

Is there a best single app for the following. Also, am I leaving anything out that I should track?

Calorie and Vitamin intake

food log

Drinking and eating reminders

Weightloss tracking

Exercise

Thanks in advance.

The major things to log is your food. You need to know your calories Protein and carbohydrates fats (macronutrients) Hit your protein goal. It's going to help you learn how to fuel your body correctly.

I'm not sure about the best. I just goto what works for me over the years.

I'm an oldschool Fitbit user. I like that it measures my calories burned, because that's my real goal everyday. I eat healthy and exercise until I have left a 1000 calorie deficit each day. If I want to eat more, I have to exercise more. If I want to take it easy, I go easier on the calories. Most days I burn 3000 calories. (now that I've been sleeved and have a calorie intake goal of around 1200 calories, this might change)

I like that the Fitbit (I use a Charger 2) keeps track of my sleep and heartrate and how my cardiovascular fitness is doing. I also like the challenges with other friends who use it.

I just my fitbit app. I track weight, exercise, sleep and food on it. I don’t know if it does everything you want but it does a lot and I’ve been very happy with it.

I like Baritastic, I tried LoseIt, but prefer Baritastic. I also have a fitbit - not crazy about logging food on it.

I use Baritastic for the journal feature and the syncing to my surgery center—if you “sync” it to your faculty you should have access to all the pre and post op instructions/resources. I track my food and exercise with my fitness pal.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
