Late December Sleevers?

Anyone scheduled for sleeve in late Dec? Mine is on Dec 26, and I’d love to be in touch with others going through it with me.

Mine was in Dec 29 , I went to work on 1/1and prior to that have been on my feet as got 2 lil ones. Today since evening my extreme right stitch/incision hurts , really bad to touch and otherwise [emoji853] not sure if I overworked it??

I have two 3 year olds. It’s pretty tough not being allowed to lift them. Even just my diaper bag is more than ten lbs!! It’s easier said than done to focus on your recovery when one kid needs one thing and the other is screaming from a stubbed toe :) good luck to you!

I lost 13 lbs on the pre-op diet and 11 lbs since surgery, totaling 24lbs. I’m so happy!! Before surgery it was nearly impossible for me to lose even ten. I’m glad to be getting some positive feedback.

Any ideas for breakfast other than protein shake? , Day 7 post op [emoji4]

I have found light carnation breakfast shake, I cup of skim or no fat milk and a scoop of unflavored protein powder is a good option instead of protein shake. It is tastier and thinner seems to go down easier for me.

It feels good to be through the first week after surgery, and I feel like I am starting to get some energy again. It is hard doing this with young kids, mine are two and six, and since the surgery happened over break, everyone was home the whole time. Luckily my husband was home to help, too.

I am grateful that I have 1 1/2 weeks before I go back to work. That will be an adjustment for sure. I have also been able to get out and take a walk each afternoon to stave off boredom, and keep my back from cramping up.

My only two issues have been waking up every couple of hours at night (but I can take a short nap during the day). I also am thirsty all the time. So grateful for ice chips! I am so glad that this forum exists so we can share stories and ask questions, too.

I’m a week out today and have diarrhea. Yes I know tmi but it’s kind of bad. Anyone else have this?

I haven’t, but I’ve heard from other people that it can happen. I have 3 girls ages 9, 5, and 15 months. My husband wasn’t off, sun, mon, or tues, So I had them all by myself. I really think that slowed my recovery some. It seems like with this surgery your body really really needs to rest. Im fighting a bad cold, but I sure wish I’d feel like myself soon??.

You can try nonfat yogurt if it's the smooth kind (no fruit on the bottom or pieces of fruit mixed in).

I had mine on 12/27 I'm having a hard time drinking fluids.. any suggestions? I also can barely eat anything with out feeling nauseas.

I have that problem! my nut said to drink slower and take smaller sips. and if you have anything with consistency that is too thick then water in down a little.

New to the group, sleeved on 12/27. Feeling alright, except having BP issues. I was on meds prior to surgery, and now my pressures are low post surgery and my body isn’t sure how to deal with normal pressures. Dizzy bed lightheadedwhen I am standing/ get up from sitting down. Dr. Is monitoring. Anyone else deal with this?
