Need a Buddy cause I getting little or no results

Recommended Posts

I need someone to assure me I am not doing anything wrong and that what I am going through, not loosing weight, not eating much, nausea and constant hunger is quite normal ?

I feel disheartened, after spending so much money on this surgery in Thailand, then the weight loss stopping after 4 weeks ? I am constantly hungry, have shocking acid re-flux and when I eat, I cant eat much and then vomit when I go to bed ?

Please can someone give me the encouragement I need to keep feeling positive and the assurance it will get better ???

I understand how you feel...i was sleeved on 9/11 and initially I lost 18lbs the first week and then only 2 pounds since then. This is so not how I pictured this going and I too feel like I have wasted my time and money not to mention the pain I've put my my body through and the mental anguish. I'm at a loss...since you are basically describing the exact same things I'm going through I'm wondering if this is a common thing and I have unrealistic expectations. Idk...but you are not alone. I wish I had the answers. I know that don't help. Lol

Hey there. I'm new to this side of the app. I was sleeved on 9-12 and I'm in the same boat as you all. I lost 20lbs my first week post op then another maybe 5lbs the next week. I have not lost since. I've been going up a d down between the same 20lbs. I'm losing inches though. My clothes are fitting a lot better. I've been monitoring my body with one pair of jeans that were extremely tight on me. They have gotten loose. I'm not sure what's going on with the scale but I am happy with the inches coming off. It looks like this maybe a common thing since we all are experiencing it. Just keep your head up. [emoji1]

Look forward to hearing what they have to say. My surgeon wasn't the least bit concerned with it and said as long as I felt good don't worry about the scale but it's hard to do that. I'm also having a hard time just enjoying the whole experience.... I'm so obsessed with food and planning ahead what I'm going to eat and when... it's ridiculous. I know it's better to meal prep but I think I'm running into this mindset that I have it in my bag at work therefore I want to eat it. Then I feel guilty even if it is grapes or cauliflower. My mind is set on "I'M ON A DIET!!" I was hoping to break free from that!

I too have experienced the "stall". I wasn't too concerned as I went through WLS to get off my many medications. That said, just like everyone else I did want to see the weight go down. As others have said even if you don't see the weight on the scale go down you will notice your clothes fitting looser. I was sleeved on 8/31/17 and I had two suits I called my HOPE suits, I hoped I fit into them. Today they are too big for me. Reading the forums I stopped drinking Crystal Light and drink only plain Water, that seemed to help with some weight loss. Also, I started going to the gym and the exercise jump stated my weight loss again. I plan all my meals just to get my Proteins in. Another poster recommended the Baritastic app to keep track of my proteins, calories, etc. It's a great tool.

What you're going through sounds a lot like what the majority of us went through or are going through. Have faith in the program and most of all have faith in yourself.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
