Able to eat more than I should

Thank everyone that has responded to this. Lots of good advice that I'm going to take. I'm keeping a journal which I have not before and after one day I realized that I'm snacking more than I thought, not getting all my water or protein. Lots of "slider" foods and empty calories. Eating too quickly as well...I have to discipline myself and do better with mindful eating! Thanks everyone Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Able to eat more than I should

I feel the same way! I was sleeved on 9/11/17 and I've only lost 25 lbs. I'm so depressed about it. Tomorrow I'm starting a 10 day cleanse as well ask going back to the pre surgery diet. Has anyone ever tried this and does it "reset" your pouch....is it really and truly possible to do this? Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Hi all. I'm new to this and don't even know if I'm posting to the right place. I was sleeved on 9/11 and lost 18lbs in the first week. I haven't lost but an additional 2lbs since then. I talked with my surgeon recently and he didn't seem concerned, he just said I needed to go by how I feel and not by what the scale says...well I feel frustrated and like I wasted a lot of time and money and put my body through some severe pain for 20lbs!! HELP!! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Look forward to hearing what they have to say. My surgeon wasn't the least bit concerned with it and said as long as I felt good don't worry about the scale but it's hard to do that. I'm also having a hard time just enjoying the whole experience.... I'm so obsessed with food and planning ahead what I'm going to eat and when... it's ridiculous. I know it's better to meal prep but I think I'm running into this mindset that I have it in my bag at work therefore I want to eat it. Then I feel guilty even if it is grapes or cauliflower. My mind is set on "I'M ON A DIET!!" I was hoping to break free from that! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Not losing!! What am I doing wrong

I just joined today but I drink lots of water daily. Premier protein shake every morning and nothing but veggies the rest of the day. I eat until satisfied which is not much and then an hour later I'm hungry again. When I had my sleeve surgery I also had my gallbladder removed and a hiatal hernia repaired...i ended up with an umbilical hernia and had that repaired on 10/19. I have not been able to exercise, I'm not able to lift anything heavier than 5 pounds and since this second surgery just took place I won't be released for physical activity for 4 more weeks. I'm not imagining the fact that the scale is not moving but I'm thinking that maybe I have unrealistic expectations on how this was going to be. Idk. I feel more confused. I've read that a stall is normal but I've been stalled for a while. My husband says I'm too critical and that he can see the weight coming off but the scale is not moving. 12. I understand how you feel...i was sleeved on 9/11 and initially I lost 18lbs the first week and then only 2 pounds since then. This is so not how I pictured this going and I too feel like I have wasted my time and money not to mention the pain I've put my my body through and the mental anguish. I'm at a loss...since you are basically describing the exact same things I'm going through I'm wondering if this is a common thing and I have unrealistic expectations. Idk...but you are not alone. I wish I had the answers. I know that don't help. Lol Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
