Next week I start the purée phase! Anyone else? I live by myself and would like some purée ideas

Third day on pureed foods for me.

I have a superb blender so today, at lunchtime, I put a quartered tomato, half a medium cucumber, 125mL of Essentials Greens vegetable juice and 50 grams of shaved salmon into a medium blender cup. 20 seconds in the blender and a I was soon having a pureed salmon salad.

Pretty good.

I could've added water or liquid stock and heated it as soup.

Yesterday's lunch was a pouch of Aldi Mamia organic baby food 10+ months (Beef, Potato & Pumpkin). About 170g.

Yesterday's evening meal was another pouch of Aldi Mamia organic baby food 10+ months (Lamb Bolognese). Also about 170g.

Baby foods are flavoursome, pure and low salt, low sugar these days ... no like the crap canned/bottled baby foods of the 1950s & 1960s.

Two minutes in a microwave for a $1.29 meal is great value too.

I'm supposed to start purée next week too. I have a doctors appt on Fri and I'm hoping he'll let me start then. My stomach has been good. He told me previously not to eat baby food because it is mostly carbs. He was talking about purring egg/chicken/tuna salad.

forgot about baby food

It's easy, cheap and you can eat one or two pouches depending on your hunger or time available.

The best thing is: there are so many great choices; good aroma; small pureed adult style flavours.

Look hard at the nutrition panel ... the ones I quoted earlier had more grams of protein than carbs. Ratios were about 4:3 and 3:2.

You would have seen too that I make my own in the blender ... a salmon salad.
