How long were you off work?

Hi all, I was wondering how long all of you were off work after your surgeries? I work in a hospital and do a lot of heavy lifting. I would like some idea of a timeframe. Thanks.

I had a VSG on 08/28 I only took 10 days off I think I could of came back to work sooner I however did come back to work fairly tired.. I think it depends alot on the type of work you do I work a desk job so it is a little easier for me to get back into the swing of things

i had my surgery 9/28. I'm returning 10/11

I was off a total of 5 weeks. Because I could.

3 weeks I could have gone back. I’m at a desk job for the most part. Still slightly foggy headed at 3 weeks. I was glad to be home to transition from puréed to soft. I was glad I had time to figure it out. I was glad to have time to plan for different things I encounter at work.

I’m a kindergarten teacher and had the surgery two weeks before school started. I started school and was very tired because I wasn’t getting enough food and water down. Other than that I was fine.
