Hello!
My name is Amanda....I'm new here, I kind of ghosted the forums before my surgery, looking for tips and info to help convince my fiancé (because the Drs recommending it wasn't enough, lol) that the surgery would go well... but now that 've had the surgery, I find I will probably need support and have lots of questions from those who have been at this a while!
I just had my surgery 3 days ago....in Tijuana, Mexico with Dr Jaime Ponce de Leon Palomares , who was kind and wonderful and very skilled, we had no problems with him or Hospital Angeles. However, I should note I was a very healthy person before, I had 0 health problems - no heat issues or diabetes or high cholesterol or blood pressure blah blah blah, I just happened to be fat - much to the dismay of those who knew me and my Dr's alike, thus I had the surgery.
I'd never had any kind of surgery before so this is all very new to me... dealing with the air bubbles so far is the suckiest! (why did no-one mention those things ahead of time lol?!) I got a bell band because gravity seemed to be a jerk with the stitches etc...the band certainly helps with my walking and was worth the $20 at Amazon. lol Hopefully I won't need it long...
Anyway, that's my story, any helpful tips or questions etc, I'm all ears!
