Are you sure they said that you could drink after midnight on the 18th? I've never heard of anyone being able to drink after midnight the night before surgery. It's thought of as dangerous in fact.

I double checked and yes - liquid diet on the 18th and clear liquids on the 19th. My surgery is first thing in the morning so I won't be drinking much anyway. Just enough to get the meds down they want me taking....

Tomorrow is surgery day. Starting weight 431 pre surgery after 2 weeks of liquid diet 408

I have surgery in the morning and I’m able to drink water or black coffee up until 30 minutes prior to check-in.

I also ate a “typical dinner” and didn’t have any liquid diet or anything...

Surgeons are so different! I trust my surgeon and the program I went with... so I’m following his instructions

Good luck everyone with upcoming surgeries!!! Remember to expect pain and bad gas but it will pass shortly. The pain is temporary but the weight loss and great feeling is permanent

I just got home from the hospital. All is still going well. Having some significant pain in my left-most incision. Otherwise, I feel fine. Just need some sleep.

Best wishes and prayers to everyone whose surgery is coming up soon. At least from my perspective, it's not been as bad as I was afraid it would be.
