Thank you. Its a whole new way of living. Retraining my way of thinking about nourishment. Looking foward to the challenge.

My pre-op was 4 weeks. 2 weeks liquid & 1 meal then 2 more weeks only liquid. It can be difficult but is tolerable. You all got this!

Mine was the same for week one then the second week was 2 shakes, one high Protein meal. I “mostly” did it. Good luck I’m 8 days post op and feeling great 14 pounds lighter.

Good idea! Thank you, I think I will! [emoji175] my surgery is Monday and I cannot wait! I am having my gastric band revised to a sleeve. I just got these adorable pillows in today just in time for my surgery! I’m going to be using them as stomach pillows for when I need to cough or sneeze or laugh.

Those are so cute! You will do great! My surgery was last Wednesday. I weighed 254.2 the day after. Today I weighed myself and I’m down to 242.6! Not bad for one week.

Those pillows are darling- where did you get them?

They’re from a person on Etsy. She hand makes them and will personalize them with different faces and whatever you want to put on the back, name, surgery date, etc... and they come in various colors. I love them! [emoji5]

January 22 for me can't wait. Have been going through the process for 6 months. My husband and son are both sick all week hoping I don't catch it before the big day ! Have a little bit of the sniffles

I also went the 22nd. I'm home. Got home Around 4 yesterday. I'm here alone and pretty sore. I'm having trouble with Water and this swirling thing that happens in my abdomen (don't know how to describe it). I'm scared to take the Percocet prescribed for fear of nausea. I'm starting to sip a Protein Shake. I'm on clear liquids 1 week the. Regular liquids for. 4. How are you feeling.
Sorry sounds like a ramble

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
