I've been lurking and reading and finally decided to creating an account . I went for my consult on 7/25 ... I have GHI.. hoping to have my surgery in 10/2017. My starting weight is 253 and I'm 5'2...

    Good luck! I was just sleeved Friday and finally starting to feel good. This board has been a life saver for me- gave me real expectations and helped me when I thought I was alone. Welcome to the club!

    Do you have a surgeon yet? I used Dr Bessler at Columbia-Pres. The hospital stay was not the best but he is an excellent doc.

    I know some folks who got approval on GHI in the first shot, hopefully you will too :)
