  1. I’ve had counseling . I know why I eat . It’s due to boredom. But actually it wasn’t the food . It was the alcohol that took me out this time. I was sober for 3 years . Flunked out of nursing school and picked up the booze . The pound cake back easily. Now I’m fight a battle on two fronts . I’m clean two weeks going on three taking it one day at a time . I’m bored but I’ve decided to come out of this pandemic clean and sober and lighter with new eating habits
  2. I had weight loss surgery on January 17 2017 . I was 244 . I got down to 210. Today I am 245 . I started on some weight loss pills prescribed by my doctor ( topiramate and metformin ) my appetite is reduced. I can only eat about 2 chicken wings before I’m full . I ate a cup of food and was full normally I was able to eat what I was eating post surgery . I think I have a second chance here to get my eating under control . Can you guys give me some advice . I don’t want to f@&k it up. I’ve lost 2 lbs since taking the pills these past 4 days so I think they are working ......
  3. Hi I have been prescribed topiramate 50mg nightly and 500mg metformin nightly for weight loss , has anyone else experienced any weight loss on that combo? And how much ? Thanks
  4. Hey y'all, had surgery on 1/17 .. hw 256 , sw 243, cw 233.... haven't lost any pounds this week.. 3rd week
  5. For me , a con is the amount of food I'm able to eat... I didn't want to eat the large portions I was eating but now I'm eating less than my toddlers. And my life still revolves around food now instead of thinking about what I want to eat, I'm thinking about what I can't eat.
  6. Maybe your pancreas if it's not your gallbladder?
  7. My incisions are healing nicely , the glue is coming off but when I sit up I'm in so much pain. I'm good if I'm laying down but sitting up for more than 10mins and I feel a pulling and burning pain. Any one else experienced this ? I'm scheduled to go back to work next on 2/7. I have a desk job but sitting is going to hurt if this pain doesn't go away.
  8. I feel great. I haven't been nauseous or thrown up. I'm on mushies and can eat pretty much anything ... I actually don't purée everything , sometimes I just chew it well. I did this surgery so that I can eat like a normal person . Instead of eating 5 cups of pasta , I'll settle for a few oz... I don't plain on changing much of my eating habits , with the exception of McDonald's Big Mac.. I know that's gone forever... good luck to everyone
  9. How much is everyone eating? I'm one week out and can eat 2 oz but still hungry a half hour later . When will I be able to eat more at least 4 to 6 oz?
  10. I had ghi-cbp and empire as co insurance. Empire is the one who authorized my procedure so I had to do 6 months in stead of 3 ... follow up with your insurance because I was denied at first
  11. I'm on day 2 post op.. still in a lot of pain..especially when I walk .. just finished some cream of wheat with protein.. it went down well ... no pain unlike when I drink water.. it feels like a cement brick going down
  12. I'm in pain.. trying to walk is painful. And this is with pain meds. I've had 3 c sections and pushed out one so I have a high tolerance for pain but this is ridiculous.
  13. Thank you for that . I screen shot your post so that I don't forget.
  14. My insurance wanted 2 extra months of visits..
  15. Surgery scheduled for 7 am. I'm scared. Not of the surgery, but of the change that's coming. I'm tired of being fat, but food has been my addiction for so long. I stop drinking, I stopped smoking , and now I'm loosing my last crutch. How will I cope with disappointments, anxiety, or When I'm having a good day and want to eat my favorite foods( all at the same time). What do I do with the emptiness?
