I'm so angry...apparently I have split insurance of ghi and empire bc b's and ghi only needs 3 months but bcbs wants 6 months of weight loss efforts..so they denied my surgery..after ive spent money on protein shakes, mentally prepared myself for sugery with the 2 week diet and submitted fmla paper work..smh... Now I have to wait..and all i want to do now is eat my disappointment away...

You are not alone...i started on 11/ 1 and was doing pretty good but 4 days later I had some fried chicken..then the next day a beef Pattie..then the next day chicken and fries yesterday ..some more fries ..I'm disgusted with my self but like the other poster said...today is a new day...I have 6 more days to go and I'm going to take it one day at a time .... Day5 of pre op diet...I had 2 chicken wings from the Chinese restaurant..I ate it so fast. Standing out side the resturant...I burn my tongue trying to shove it down..I'm not proud of my self but I feel better.the obsessive thoughts of eating food has went away. Im starting my preop diet on 11/1...surgery in 11/15... I won't be able to have thankgiving dinner so I went out and brought every thing I 'll need to make mines on Halloween..my last meal of sorts...menu includes smothered turkey wings, collard greens, yams, baked macaroni, rice and peas, stuffing and apple pie.... I read that is was only 3 months if using a multidisciplinary program. I also have ghi emblem through my job with the city . my first appointment date was 7/25. I'm expecting a surgery date sometime in October. "Active participation within the last 2 years in a physician-directed weight-management program for ≥ 6 months without significant gaps (or 3 months if provided through a multidisciplinary bariatric surgery program).
