  4. I have both. Only wear the Fitbit because apples fitness app doesn’t offer challenges with friends yet
  5. I was off a week. Tried to go back Monday for half a day. Too exhausted. Taking the rest of this week too.
  6. I’m sleeved, but I am with you as far as the lethargy goes. I notice it more on days I don’t get enough protein.

  9. Just wondering if anyone else is in recovery from drugs/ alcohol? Obviously we’re all in recovery from our FOOD addiction! [emoji23]
  10. Im still in the full liquid phase and I’m struggling so much trying to figure out what I should be focusing on. On one hand, I want to stick with a diet specifically meant for bariatric patients. On the other hand I’m lactose intolerant, have high cholesterol(so I don’t eat eggs) and I had a hard time digesting red meat even BEFORE my surgery. Is anyone on a plant based diet or know where I can find more info on one? Thanks so much, pic for attention!
  11. Thank you so much to everyone that responded. I feel so much more at peace with my decision now.

  13. I’m 1/15 too! Were bari twins
  14. I just got sleeved 4 days ago and at the time it seemed like that was the best option but now almost every forum and fb group I’m in is just riddled with people getting their sleeves revised to rny or bypass. Is anyone actually happy with their sleeves?

  16. Unjury @ unjury.com I believe. They have an unflavored protein powder that I SWEAR HAS NO FLAVOR AT ALL! And after comparing manyyyy different kinds of protein, that brand had the best protein-to-carb ratio
  17. Yeah! I thought it was weird my surgeon told me to stop taking my meds as soon as I got home (metformin and victoza) but I had no idea how much the surgery would change nor how quickly it would do it.
  18. I was diagnosed with metabolic syndrome a year ago. When writing down my reasons for wanting weight loss surgery, one of them was to bring my fasting blood sugar down to a healthier range (it's typically over 200!) I fully expected this to take weeks, if not months. Well, today, only 4 days post op, my fasting blood sugar was 89! That's normal, non-diabetic levels! What are some of your health-related post-op goals?
  19. I’m in grad school and I told my instructors and the program director about my surgery. Luckily my classes don’t start back until next week, but they did all agree to post the lesson plans and assignments online so that I could work on them at home. I think if you talk to your instructors (and if that doesn’t work, the program director or the dean) your school wants you to succeed so they will more than likely be willing to help you.
