Men do better than women normally. Fatties like me do better than the "lightweights" who started at a more reasonable weight.

Sometimes people get frustrated that they're not losing as much as "everyone else" when in reality, they are doing GREAT by their own standards.

Proceed with caution!

Which is a legitimate curiosity, and that's okay!! There are many others that might take it as a comparison, even though that's ultimately on them, I think the poster was just showing his concern for who might be comparing themselves or not be as strong to see his/her own journey as their own. When I read "ONLY lost such and such" that is a flag of comparing; that's the dangerous part.

You have done very well in your first two weeks, that's awesome...keep up the great work hon! Blessings to you.

My first 3 months I lost 37lbs, I had couple stalls during that time as well. I was 271 day of surgery. I'm currently 6.5 months out and have lost 71 pounds since surgery, 101 since I started my program a year ago tomorrow.

Hi everyone, I'm 2 weeks post op and lost 20 pounds so far. My start weight was 217 and my current weight 198. My goal weight is 120. How much did you guys lose in the first 3 months?

My starting weight was almost identical to yours...I was 218 pounds on surgery day.

I lost 33.5 pounds in the first 3 months.
