Suture reaction? Infected incisions... Pics

My very first post, been a background creeper for quite a while. 15 days post op and having trouble with incisions. I'm thinking I might have trouble with the prolene suture they used on 3 on my holes. My mother had trouble with her cesarean incision becoming infected weeks post-op, but I'm not even 3 weeks out yet. I finished my antibiotics on Tuesday (roughly 5 days ago) but perhaps I should ask my regular doctor (that has no idea I went to Mexico for a sleeve) for an Rx? He will also not be pleased to know that placed some sutures myself. I work at a vet clinic and so actually sutured myself (yes I did so in a sterile manner) because the incision they left open was still gaping open and was going to leave a massive scar, never mind the fact that I actually have sores from the bandages from keeping them covered. It's like my skin is super sensitive to the adhesive on the bandages, the last one actually took skin off when I removed it. I also sutures the other largest incision as it was starting to split apart and I could see suture inside it. Anyways tonight the one incision that I thought was doing the best and closed first, well it was quite sore, so I scratched at the corner because it felt pocket like and low and behold, mini-abscess.

How long is anyone else taking to heal? Anyone else have trouble with their suture.

Because everyone loves pictures I'm attaching a few, hope they're not too offensive... One day post-op, 10 days, and 15 days

Wow! I didn't see what was edited out but I'm sorry it sounds like it was hateful.

I would like to see an update i keep coming back here to check on you! Hope you stick around!

Yes so hateful that i told her that its obvious that needed medical attention people always come on here with stuff like this and it ends up going back and fourth of " no im fine i dont need any help" it was not hatefull what so ever, she sutured herself like she is a cow, i dont even think doctors who can do surgery just decide to sort it themselves, she put her self in further risk of issues herself. You go through these drastic measures to then cut corners? I said that this is clearly infected and can not be treated on its own, and shutting in the infection her self was a bad idea.

I am not hateful whats so ever. If someone wants to be dramatic that is their problem this is a public forum.

Look how bad it looks and her concern is keeping the piercing from closing up? anyones first instinct would be to take it out, and focus on the infection. I am not coming back to this post easier. But if i had something to hide i would not have put " edit-" I said nothing hurtful. I was honest. simple. and i do not want anyone else seeing this post thinkng " im a vet so i am now qualified to treat myself" As you can see i have not replied to her as she is just being dramatic. Bye , I wont be coming back to this post either.

Nice edit dreamingsmall, maybe you should take your 'hate of people like me' and beg off. So much for a positive community here. I don't have the luxury of being hypochondriac or a tit but that's for your negative remarks. You may have edited them but I still got to read the original from the email notification. I think this will be my last post on here. To everyone that tried to convince me that I was basically going to die, I'm happy to report I'm just fine. To everyone else that was supportive, I thank you and wish you the best on your journey.

Hypocondriac? LOL I am a hypochondriac for saying thats obvs an infection lol . mkay. " people that were trying to convince me i was going to die" your so disrespectful and rude, those people who were worried we trying to help . wow. i wont be on your post again.

I just wish this post would die so that pic would stop popping up on my feed lol

Ah I guess if that's all you posted why did you feel the need to edit?

I do think if someone comes asking for advice and then doesn't want to hear it it's a bit odd. But sadly common.

what does the piercing have to do with anything, seriously?

she sutured herself like she is a cow,

What do you think magically happens when humans are sutured? It's the same instruments, the same suture, the same suture patterns! Do you think it's somehow special when it's done to people?

We even use some of the same drugs, because sometimes that's the best treatment for certain types of bacteria. Hence why I received a 2nd prescription for Cephalexin.

Yes, because anyone that has completed as much medical schooling as a human Doctor has, needs someone like you dictating their actions in regards to a wound.

dreamingsmall please don't comment on my stuff again.

I will gladly delete this post if someone can tell me how because I can't seem to find where or how to do so...

LOL The questioning is almost funny, dude its not that serious, I edited because I read through the post after and many peopele had already said she isnt a cow lol and shouldnt be sutering her self blabla , i realised its just one of those dramatic posts were they come back and say " your all wrong i did the right thing im fine" i had thought she wanted genuine help but thought f** it theres no point on this post, its really that simple lol take it or leave it . its quite obvious most people who posted wasted their time by her responce, but please dont quote me as id rathernot get notifications from this post. but unless you see someones post maybe dont jump in lol

Stop being silly, you sutured yourself when you had an infection lol this is getting dumb. There are many different methods actually as many people pointed out, obvcourse everyone else is wrong and you are right. Brilliant. Dont bother deleting your post keep it here lol have fun. Dictating their actions for a wound, why did you post if you didnt need any advice on the wound ? you high? You had it all sorted but still posted like you needed help , as i thought for attention. lol bye.

Truly awesome! Love his hairdo

Ladies, that does not look normal and if a doctor tells you its normal he should have his license revoked. That is just my opinion.
