I haven't, but several people have - almost always because of GERD.

That's what i was thinking. I never really had a problem with GERD right after surgery but now that it's been a while, my reflux is going crazy. And i feel like i can eat more than i should be able to. (I try not to) So i'm going to talk to my surgeon about my options.

Sleeved 2011 n never lost more than 40 pounds. Severe reflux n ulcers n just never felt restricted in my diet. Rny 5/23 n I'm definitely losing weight now unlike when I was sleeved.

I'm in the process of getting insurance approval for a revision as well. I was sleeved two years ago and have recently(past few months) been suffering from acid reflux. I also was told by my surgeon that I would greatly benefit from the duodenal switch to serve as a component to the sleeve. I am excited that there is another option even after being compliant to the program. I'm hoping that this will assist me with the issues I'm having and I pray it is an alternative and blessing to you in this journey we are taking to get healthy.

but with the DS, you still have a sleeved stomach. I'm not sure how this is going to stop the acid reflux. Is he going to do something else to your stomach to help with the reflux? People who have reflux issues with the sleeve usually revise to RNY. And they usually revise to the DS if they have to lose a lot more weight.

Does the omneprozole no longer work? Or do you no longer take it?
