  3. Thank you everyone. I'm just trying to get back to basics and it seems to work. Protein shakes and count everything I eat, exercise, listen to my body. The sleeve definitely works, it's there for a reason, it's all about me doing my part. Thanks for letting me vent on here and thank you all for your input!!!
  4. Okay so really I shouldn't call this a stall. I had my surgery 1/31/17. I'm down 50 lbs and my body is definitely different now. But the scale stopped moving a couple of months ago. I had a really hard summer and I know I reverted to stress eating. Well summer is over, the stress is being managed, and I'm trying hard to get back on track. I have an appointment with my nutritionist coming up soon and I'm walking a few miles most days again. But I'm still not seeing the scale move. I need help! I can't seem to get myself back to losing. Help! Has anyone had any issue like this who can maybe give me some helpful tips? Thanks!!

  7. Does the omneprozole no longer work? Or do you no longer take it?

  9. Hi. I did a band to sleeve conversion in two parts. The sleeve surgery was on January 31 of this year. At first it seemed like this was going to be the answer for me, but now it seems that I hit plateaus hard every couple of weeks. I want to scream all the time! Its like my body and mind are fighting me all the time. I feel like I know everything I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to control myself. I'm eating all the right stuff, but just too much of it. I'm not gaining weight (thank goodness) I'm just not losing enough. I have another 80 lbs to go (84) and I'll never get there at this rate. I am just hoping to find a buddy who can talk me off the ledge sometimes, and can just help me laugh at the silly parts of all of this so maybe I can stop focusing on the whole thing so much that I am always focused on food. Thank you!

  11. I was sleeves three weeks ago today. The surgery went well and I'm healing great. As of today I'm on the stage three diet which is puréed food, and in one week I'm starting regular food. I'm down 20 pounds as of this morning. For a few days I was crying and thinking I made the worst decision of my life, but I'm finally starting to accept the choice and I'm moving forward in positive way. I have ms and I am actually feeling healthier with the weight loss and I have more energy too! This is a good thing that we re doing. We all should stick together and be proud of ourselves and each other!
  12. I'm also a revision. My surgeon wouldn't do it in one step so I have the final part of the revision on Monday. I'm nervous and excited. I did great with the band for a while but then I started having some bad problems and in the end it had to come out. I'm ready for the next move though!

  14. I'm going in on 1/30. Very close to February! I'm very excited. A step toward a new me and a new way of life!
  15. I felt that way a lot. I was in the bathroom after most meals heavier than Soup. The result was that my band became distended after an overfill incident a while back. The situation was never properly dealt with a eventually the food began to just sit in the upper portion of my stomach causing reflux. The worst part is that it can eventually come back up the esophagus and begin to go into the lungs. I chose to have the band removed. I am having the sleeve operation 1/30/17.
  16. I just had my band removed today. I was having so many problems with it after six years it had to go. When I had my surgery back then I had wanted a sleeve and now I can finally get one so I'm focusing on the positives. I just have to work really hard at keeping myself in control and not thinking that its now okay to eat anything I want!
  17. I just scheduled my appointment to do the same thing. I am very nervous. The last time I went for a fill, a little over a year ago, I was over filled. I had to go to the emergency room on Saturday morning for saline removal because i couldn't swallow my own spit and I was completely swollen. It took days for everything to return to normal. But I've been slowly gaining and gaining. I can eat pretty much anything I want. I need the control back. Good luck to you! I hope you do whatever works out for the best!
  18. How do you keep it from your boss? I have to take off time to meet with a lot of different people, plus a day for an endoscopy, plus the week of surgery. After a while, aren't there a lot of awkward questions?
