Stall ... for almost a month ... so frustrating

A little background about me

I have been stuck on 199 pretty much since the beginning of may, I keep bouncing between 197-200lbs. It's so frustrating and depressing when you are doing everything you should be doing and still no result based on the scale.
I have been eating mostly Proteins and trying to get all my fluids in. My carbs consumption is max of 15g, if that.
I walk/jog or do elliptical at least for 4 miles a day. So I don't know what else to do.
On top of all that I have lost 1/3 of my hair, definitely noticeable amount of hair and still shedding like crazy which I wouldn't care if I was seeing results ( on scale).
Size wise, I can definitely see that I have been shrinking, even in the past month that scale has been going up and down. What worries me is when I have to go back to see my surgeon, he didn't take measurements of my body, he will only see the number on the scale and I don't want him to think I'm not following my diet and exercise correctly.
What am I doing wrong ??? Please help!

If you're worried about your surgeon seeing a number on the scale.. then are you journaling?

Input your exercise into MFP or something as well and see how many calories your body comes out with. It's possible you could be starving yourself due to the exercise. It's also possible your body just might want you at this weight.

Perhaps you aren't eating enough...I know it seems counterintuitive, but the human body is a brilliant machine that knows how to slow metabolic processes down to a crawl when it senses a threat to survival.

food intake that's too low for too long is a threat to survival, as far as the human body is concerned.

At 4 months out I had bumped my intake up to 1000 calories daily. By 6 months I was up to 1200 calories per day, and by the 9th month out I was eating about 1500 calories daily. By one year out I was up to 1700 to 1800 calories a day.

Today I'm 2 years and 1 month out. I routinely consume about 2000+ calories each day and maintain a fairly low body weight. I consume about 120 grams of Protein daily and I don't count carb or fat grams.

So, although my tactic of incrementally raising my caloric intake may have led to me becoming a "slower loser," I am reaping the rewards of it today with a preserved metabolic rate.

Good advice,@introversion. I've noticed feeling very tired so I've bumped up my calories, too.

Last month I has the same issue! I was stuck at 205 - 203 for 3 weeks! I continually exercise and was staying between 600-800 calories (mostly Protein rich foods) a day and 60-90 grams of protein per my NUT. I upped my calories and carbs this month and continued my 3 mile daily walks and I've lost 12 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks... may be worth asking your doctor about.

I am in the same boat - surgery was 12/30/16 and the scale hasn't moved in over 6 weeks - it is so frustrating but I know I am doing all I should be (protein, Water, exercise) - I appreciate the advice others have given here.

Hang in there. I started with a PT and for a month I wouldn't lose ANYTHING. Then all of of a sudden 10lbs came off. Make sure you are eating enough especially if you are exercising.

Oh I love coming across topics like this. I've been stalled/paused/(whatever you want to call it) for about 6 weeks myself. I finally saw the scale move in the correct direction. I'm stuck between 208 and 210. I have been logging my food and working out more regularly.

I also work shift work...I'm currently working 12 hours shifts at night for 2 weeks straight (yes that means I work 14 days without a day off). I personally think my body is in shock right now trying to figure out why I'm eating at weird times and sleeping at weird times. I had 3 weeks off prior to this shift.

So I'm telling myself to keep journaling my food and getting what little exercise I can with my schedule and eventually the scale will move.

On a NSV note I went to the movies with hubby a couple weeks ago and realized how much more the comfy the seats were. neither thigh/hip were touching the sides of the chair. that was so cool!!!

I about die when I have to work 3 12's in a row. There's no way you could get me to do 14, I found after 2 extra shifts a week the extra just goes to taxes anyway so its not worth it. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
