Soooo I wore a dress today after almost 5 years of just wearing pants! IMG_1182.JPG

I also had to cut my hair short this weekend!!! I made peace with letting go of my long hair but it looks healthier and not falling out as much today.

You look fabulous 😊

I haven't worn a dress in so long. You have inspired me to try one on.

Aww, fudge. I don't think I've ever had a bladder infection before, but I woke up have to persistently pee today and it's still going on. I called my doctor's office and am awaiting a reply. It's almost ridiculous, I'm in the bathroom here at work every five mins or so to "tinkle". I get a tickling/spasm after each tinkle and I'm afraid it'll get worse. I'm wondering if I've got this from not enough liquids?

Those are not fun at all. Your symptoms certainly sound like the beginning of an infection. Good idea to get antibiotics started before it gets worse. Whenever I have had one I got the burning feeling and also not being able to fully empty my bladder. Be sure and take some Probiotics after the antibiotics or you could get a yeast infection.

Probiotics, check! My doc actually wants me to take an otc. I was like "um, no give me a lab workup please!" So, I'm here waiting in bladder misery to pee in a cup. Hopefully it won't take long for results? It's been awful. I noticed a little pink like, red strands too when I urinate and wipe. ??? Doesn't sound at all that good.

Was told to lay off the caffeine as well. 😢

They should know ASAP I would think. It usually only takes about 2 doses of the antibiotics to start clearing up the symptoms.Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you. THe lab guy told me 24-48 hours to get results! What kind of business is this? So, I picked up some otc meds called Azo. Even though the feeling of urinating is the same, the sensation of having to always urinate is numb. It worked very well but it is crazy! Urine is bright orange/red with this stuff. I'm just glad I can function without that sensation.

You are in a stall!! My longest one lasted 2.5 weeks I think. I have heard some people have some that go 3-4 weeks. I was in a short stall for 12 days at 166.5. This morning the scale decided to move again 165.5.

You could try some of the things people do like have a carb load day.... wait, no you can't do that because you already feed your body the carbs it needs...

It will break. I haven't changed anything and my body just decided it was time to shed a pound.

Wow I feel your pain...I’m in a stall for about 3 weeks now and don’t know what to do to break it lol. No weight gain or loss.

Bahahahajajajaja! Funny!

I'm convinced that once I get past this uti business and remember I was sick the week before?.....that it'll move. I think I'll just do some stretching for the next few days and relax as much as possible mentally as well. I'm not sure what to do diet wise....maybe up my fruit intake? I've been doing mostly veggies and grains. Might be worth a try.

Hey lady, despite it not moving, overall, how do you feel!?!? :D

you should try a carb load day like Apple suggested, but the healthy kinds. Eat fresh fruits for a day. Do a different workout from what you're normally used to doing. Or what I'm going to do is unwind mentally and stretch physically for a few days. My mind and body has been stressed, which sets back loss as well. There's a variety of things to do, but remember how far you've come, that's the best part. Just laugh like I did. 😂

I'm sure right. Having an infection is a stress on your body and that could be it. Stalls are a pain.

Normally I wouldn't care what is on the scale, but there's an excitement knowing that I'm no longer in the 200's that I'm ready for. Once I see it go under that, then back to ignoring the scale. :)

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
