Crohn's Disease and Gastric Bypass

I'm new to this forum and hopefully I will be having Gastric Bypass surgery next month. I'm curious if anyone here has Crohn's disease and has had Gastric Bypass surgery?

I have Ulcerative Colitis and had gastric bypass surgery on January 23rd. No complications and have been successful. In fact, my UC has never been so controlled. To date, I am down 55lbs.

Happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

Best of luck on your journey.

Thank you for sharing! I'm relieved. I have ischemic colitis (similar to ulcerative) and I was worried also. I'm scheduled for RNY October 30th

I'm scheduled for gastric sleeve on Monday September 18. The surgeon won't operate if I'm flaring and I haven't been but for the past week or so I have "leakage" (gross) and today I had an incident at lunch where it was sort of a flare. I do t know if it's my nerves or VSL#3DS that I take. I'm waiting for my gastro to call to see if maybe Canasa can help. When you had your surgery were you in complete remission?
