Nervous. Worried, and excited. I'm not worried about the surgery in the least. I have total faith in my doctor, primarily since i've had a hernia surgery with him before. I think the liquid diet only makes it harder, emotionally. I know that might sound strange but eating this way, and knowing that my eating habits not only have to change, but will be drastically curbed makes me anxious too. I don't consider myself a big eater. I typically can't get through more than a single slice of pizza at a sitting, or eat an entire cheeseburger. I think I'm a grazer. And I've been on prednisone for a muscle disease for 3 years hasn't helped with cravings and snacking. The muscle disease keeps me from solid exercise. But I cooked breakfast for my family yesterday and ate a single strip of bacon and it was entirely amazing.

Not sure what my point is here. Super excited to be thinner and reduce future health issues for sure!!! That's a big one. But the little guy that sits on my shoulder is worried about what my diet will consist of and what I'll enjoy going forward. I know i'll need to find another focus maybe. Especially to be successful.

Bottom line, physically I'm entirely ready for this, mentally i'm nervous about my future. Weird?

I am having surgery April 26 (in 4 days) and am feeling the same way!! My pre op diet has been a roller coaster- good days and times of cheating!! I am nervous about the loss of food- but know my relationship must change.. I am just scared of the unknown I guess! I am sure these are normal feelings right before such a life changing surgery!!

No my pre op diet is low fat and low carb..... be so glad when Monday is here.... can't stop worrying I am going to come around from my ok to find I have only had my band removed [emoji22]good luck

Good luck tomorrow!!
