3 month Surgiversary ( with pics?)

I am so proud to say that I am now 3 months post op. I ventured into this foreign land called the gastric sleeve on Dec 5, 2016. I was nervous yet ready to have a new beginning in life. A healthier life that was more fulfilling without illnesses and aches all the time. Well, this 3 months has been a true roller coaster but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I started my journey out at 242 lbs pre- op. On the day of my surgery I was down to 219 lbs with the help of my dietician( I was very serious about my dietician's recommendations on diet changes ). When I awoke from surgery, I was so confused and in so much pain . I immediately regretted surgery,, lol. But after a couple of days I started to embrace my new lifestyle. I am 3 months out and today I am 176 lbs.....yayyy. Double screen pic was right after surgery and then 1 month after surgery and pics in white are most recent.

You look fantastic
I had my surgery the same day that you on December 5, 2016 in Carolina, Puerto Rico. I started with 196lbs and three months later my weight is 156lbs. My weight is stuck.

Well, sounds like you have lost 40 lbs. that is great Keep up the good work. We all get stalls. I have had several stalls thus far just kept pushing through and you should do the same. My doctor told me my weight would come off slower due to I started off at a lower weight ( 219 lbs) but I think it's coming off pretty good and I'm not experiencing loose skin thank God so I'm ok with the rate of my loss . Congrats on your loss as well. 40 lbs is a great accomplishment.

You look amazing! So glad to hear your doing well. Thank you for the encouragement. I go in this Thursday and I needed to see journeys like yours too keep me uplifted and inspired. Don't forget to post up that summer bikini pic (smile)....those abs are coming through...might as well show them off!

Hi 10stackzz, long time no hear, thank you for saying I'm an inspiration. I feel I am doing okay but I am glad I am able to be a motivator for others, that's great. And soon as I am able to put on a bikini , because I am gonna wear one this summer, I will snap a pic or two or three, lol. Good luck on your procedure. I will def send prayers up for you . Because at the end of the day it's all in his hands. He has truly kept me thru this process.

Thank, I am 68, and I'm starting to experience loose skin, but anyway I am happy to lose weight. Your words are very helpful. Thanks again. You look real great.

You are working that sleeve!! Sorry about the lack of home base support, but know that we are always here for you.

I truly appreciate the support I get from you all. It has made a huge difference on this journey. I'm truly grateful. And thanks for the compliment. I'm blushing, lol.

I'm sure you look great as well. Don't worry about the loose skin. You are healthier and smaller. I'm sure you feel better with 40 lbs gone . Enjoy life and keep working that sleeve. I'm 39 yrs old so the skin elasticity is a little different due to age but if I were 68 and lost 40 lbs , they had better watch out because I wud be one hot 68 year old and I bet you are as well . Take care and keep working mami.

Wow! You look amazing! Congratulations!

Lol, I didn't eat the pb & j but I'm sure I replaced it with something else, lol. But only once or twice. I'm nowhere near perfect. But thank you so much. I have really been working hard at this.

Thank you so much for the compliment . I don't really see a six pack. I do see a smaller waist and my stomach size is smaller than it used to be. I use my elliptical 3-4 times a week and I do an ab workout app from my iPhone like 3 or 4 days a week. That's it really. I don't see what everyone is talking about ... I want a six pack so bad, lol.
