Same! My pre op blood work is scheduled for April 13th! I have my psych apt this Friday and my last Nut apt for the 28th and I'm all set till the big day! The closer the date gets the more nervous I have become because I know it's a huge life style change but I am soooo ready!!!

Same here I'm super nervous. But we got this! Reading success stories has helped me tremendously although I know that every one has a different journey.

They said if all my clearances go through I should be having surgery in April as well. I have to have two visits with Nut beforehand as well. Was I. The paperwork process since late Oct. Slowed down by my decision to change wls clinics mid-stream. I have lost about 102 pounds so far, but at 450+ pounds I have plenty of weight to lose. I have been trying to follow the guidelines set out by the original place. Can't say it's been easy and I have overdone it on a few occasions, but I keep plugging away just trying to work towards my surgery date as best I can.
I would love to find a surgery buddy or a mentor. Anyone out there on a similar situation? Older, short, HW 450, CW 348, and surgery coming up in April.

I'm done with my nut dr. on the 20th March and hope to get surgery in april but more likely may, they were really good at getting all my appointments done by that time so thats my last visit to get my date. I am older, short 4'11", sw 238, now about 210 or a little less, and feeling anxious also.keep me posted please.

That is super fast! What insurance do you have? My insurance requires a 6 month process. I started everything back in Nov.

My insurance requirement was also six months of meetings and approvals from all my drs and a couple of theirs. I now know that it takes about six months just to learn everything about this diet change that we are learning how to make all the appropriate changes.

I'm set for April 5th. I was originally set for September 2016 but one of my pre-opt tests showed an issue I needed to address. That's done and I'm finally rescheduled and hopefully on my way. Fingers crossed!

I just found out I was approved and my surgery is scheduled for April 17th. I was really shocked that my approval only took about 24 hours [emoji15].

Now it is getting real!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
