Anyone 370 lbs or more?

Recommended Posts

Sleeved on Feb 10, 2017 weighing 372. Today I weigh 338.

I didn't have a preop diet, but I highly recommend it. I had a lot of head hunger, but pretty much have solved it.

When I made the decision to have the surgery I weighed 368. On the day of surgery I weighed 332. Now, almost 3 months out I weigh 287.4. So I've only lost 44.6 pounds since surgery. I was expecting a greater weight loss since I had such a high BMI (general rule of thumb, the more you weigh when you start the faster you lose... but doesn't take into account things like thyroid) but oh well... such is life.

My first visit I was 687 lbs. By my surgery date 12/28/15 I was 643 and now just over 14 months after surgery I'm down to 381. It's been a hard year having 2 surgeries (VSG and then a panniculectomy this past October) but it has totally changed my life...and given me my life back. Still plenty to go but I feel tremendous....as hard as this past year has been I'd do it again in a heartbeat with no hesitation for all I've gotten back in return.

Started at around 640. I got myself down to around 510 and then wet into the whole insurance process for surgery. Got down to 470 for the surgery (1-23-17). As of today, 424.

Date started- 404
Current 343
Surgery in Thursday so we'll see. I'm think 340 the way things are going.

I started eating like a post op early on and it was hard at first but if you push through it is possible. Feel like I'm in a much better place mentally and physically for surgery now. My personal goal weight is around 190. So 150 to go post op.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
