  11. I had my surgery last Monday, March 20th. I'm taking care of myself without any issues. My surgeon requires that you walk laps around the hospital floor before discharge. That was very helpful in getting up and around. I also made sure to take my meds on schedule, walk for at least 10 minutes at time several times throughout each day, and prepare for my liquid diet in advance. I even dealt with nausea and vomiting. I was no longer taking pain meds by Thursday am. I drove myself to an appt on Friday and a short trip to the store. It's possible to take care of yourself. Also, I had friends on standby if I needed anything.
