Does taking Biotin before surgery reduce hair loss?

Hi. I am not having my surgery (sleeve) until June, but someone told me that I should start taking Biotin now to prevent hair loss. Does anyone know if it really will prevent/reduce hair loss if I start taking it 4.5 months early?

I asked that question too! And yes adding Biotin with Vitamins and Protein can help! My Doctor told me every one doesn't lose their hair! Sam's has a Biotin that dissolves on the tongue

Thank you. I just ordered a bottle with enough to take me right up until my surgery. Then, I guess I'll see what everyone suggests for after.

I've been taking a much lower dose (5,000) - but I'll be taking more after I have my surgery next week!
