Hi alex can't you say you dont like lasagna, or say you have got a really bad ulcer at the back of your tongue and you can hardly eat anything.. i couldnt manage mince that soon after my band.. if it is you have it just take your time, eat small amounts and chew very well, hope everything goes well x

thats a good one wishfull..the bad ulcer on the back of your tongue..that no one can see!!..ill keep that one and use it for an occasion like that!

Right guys how am I gonna do this. I got banded on Friday and although Im not 100% I feel pretty good. Son has Graduation on Friday which lasts around 1-1 1/2hours service. Then on to a hotel for champagne reception for 2 hrs, take family out for meal then back home for party 30 guests. I have got caterers in to do the food so not too worried about that. I am more concerned if I am up to it and also covering up not eating or drinking alcohol. First born has worked really hard for this degree and it was all booked before my op. He is also getting presented with a Student of distinction, so proud and I really dont want to let him down. I tire quite easily at the moment i.e. emptying dishwasher is taking twice as long and Im pretty tired. Any tips please!!! Jx

Hi Homecare

How about using the recent hot weather as a bit of an excuse? As in "it's too hot to eat..." and "I fancy an orange juice with ice as its so hot...." don't worry about it, the more you draw attention to it the more people will notice.

Have a great day. My son's graduation is later in the year too.

Westie x

Flirty, im so pleased for you! and all within a year!..im sure that you will feel like youve been run over by a bus at first, having it all done at once, but its gonna be so worth it!..i wish it was me!

youll see the improvements straight away, but like the doc says its gonna take about 6 months for it to settle down then the scars will flatten and smooth. are you having it done in leeds? i cant wait to see your before and after photos, im really excited for you! you have arrived at your destination! a new you! x

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
