I'm on day 2 of my pre-op diet and I'm doing okay so far. I do feel hungry if I don't have my Protein shake around (like right now) but otherwise I'm surprised how it's been. That said, I'm not on an all-liquid diet, I am allowed small amounts of protein and veggies, so I think that helps a lot.

I blended tofu into my Protein Shake this morning with a handful of berries and soy milk and it was fantastic - nice and thick like a milkshake, but so much healthier! (I find I need something more substantial in the morning to help me make it to lunch).

Day #10 here. Still doing good. I have come to hate the Protein fruit drink mixes I got from my clinic. Luckily the Soups are good for the most part, and the shakes are really good considering there's nothing added in. I go in this morning for my last blood work test prior to surgery next week. Trying to keep myself busy this weekend so I don't think about food too much. It's easier during the week being at work.

Day6! Feeling better about what I can and can't have however....seems to be some constipation afoot... sorry for tmi I been drinking plenty of Water hopefully it will pass ...on to exercise and my breakfast shake

progress starts in the mind

Ran into the same problem. I started mixing Benefiber into my Protein shakes.

I'm starting my pre-op diet next Wednesday. Protein shakes and veggies are allowed, as well as Jello and broths. Water, of course!

Oh how I wish I could have at least had veggies. :::sigh::: So strange how much variance there is between doctors.

I will say (for me at least) it does get much easier. The first few days were tough, but I'm honestly used to not eating now. Hang in there guys....it's the homestretch!

On day 4 today, and it's getting better. Yesterday was rough! I'm so glad to have gotten through the day without breaking! I think it was more mental then anything else, but I was also physically exhausted and couldn't wait to just get some rest.

on the plus side, I'm down 7 lbs since Tuesday, which is fantastic!! It's been a few months since I've been in the 260's so it definitely felt great.

I'm getting a bit bored with the all liquid diet, I feel the need to break up the taste, so during lunch today I went around the health food stores and I found a bone broth with jalapenos at the Vitamin shoppe with 10 grams of Protein per cup. I just mix one cup of broth with one cup of Water and finally some flavorrrr is back in my diet!

Only 10 more days to go until Surgery Day!! Woohoo!

Had a bit of caffeine earlier today and not sure if that's throwing me off tonight or what. Just feels like an cramp that's stuck and won't go away. Hoping it's just a hunger pang that will pass, but it's been sticking around for a few hours now. Oi...Wednesday needs to hurry the eff up.
