December sleeves 2016

Well I have a total of 6 lap sites. The biggest scar I have is located on my left side( not directly under my breast that was just to give an idea where sure was)

. My upper left quadrant of my abdomen is most sore and I figured that it's most sore due to the stomach is located in the upper left quad of abdomen. So, since I saw that scar was the longest incision and it is the most sore, I assumed that is where they pulled the part of the stomach that was removed from that site. I did not have a drain . So, that's what the incision under my left breast is????. quote name="ambernoel" post="4341250" timestamp="1481316069"]

I have three cuts and my drain I'm not sure what your big cut would be under your left breast

Omg, you are doing great. I can only sleep on My side. It hurts sleeping on my back. I have lost 7 lbs in 4 days but dang you are killing it.

I was sleeved on 12/1. I left the hospital on 12/3 sore but with very little pain. Today I feel great! Last night I was finally able to sleep on my side, lol. As of today (8 days in) I've lost 16 pounds!! So far, this is looking like the best decision I've ever made....

I def am. My surgeon told me don't become obsessed with that this first week because there is so much swelling and the second week will be easier. I'm trying my best but it's hard. quote name="NicoleR79" post="4341369" timestamp="1481323698"]

Is anyone having issues with getting all your liquids in?

Mine told me the same thing but I'm getting freaked out after reading the horror stories on here about people having to be readmitted because of dehydration...

We are not claiming that and everyone is different. We are gonna do what we can until our swelling goes down some. Keep you some sugar free pop sickles as well to help with hydration. It helps me a lot and it's a nice lil treat to me. We got this!

Dec 1st here! My only real difficulty is the gas pain, but gas x is my friend. I am learning to ignore the smells of my family members' food options....I try to eat my creamy broths at the same time. I'm 1 day into full liquids. I wear socks on my hands at night so that I don't scratch my itchy scabs. And I'm up to 15 mins walking per day! 1 week, 15lbs down. No regrets

Congrats!!! How does a stomach spasm feel? Every time I drink something I have to burp. I'm hoping this too shall pass. But other than that just soreness and still a little gas pain. I'm day 4 post op. I'm doing better than what I thought I was gonna do, all glory goes to God for that and for him blessing me with an awesome surgeon.

I was also sleeved yesterday. Having stomach spasms but doing okay so far. I am in Juarez. They are super here.

I had my surgery on Tuesday Dec. 6. I came home Thursday and I'm recovering so much better at home. My only pain is from the largest incision site (where the stomach is removed) and major headaches. My surgery was performed with the Divinici robot so I have 6 incisions. I can't stand broth but dealing with it and I'm loving Jello

Sleeved on weds 12/7, home the next day. Walked a mile on my treadmill tonight. I have not had any pain, just some discomfort from the gas but nothing much. Had a terrible time dishing up dinner for my kids tonight. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Ugh!! Keeping my sights on those full liquids next week!! LOL

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
